also...what kind of pens do you use for inking?

I use an ultra fine point felt tip pen for the general outline (once to thrice overing the lines for fat to thin contrast) an even finer felt tip pen for the face and other small details when needed, and a cheap not really black ball point pen for the grayscale shading type stuff (bic or papermate)

I use a 0.5 my self...(sometimes 0.7)

0.5. you can get more detail. 0.7 is a little too big and no matter what lead you use for it, it leaves a darker mark.
